Story
The Bionic Man Walks For Water.
Sponsor our Bionic Man Mark Roberts as he walks 60 miles in 4 days to raise funds for the Migowi School and Orphanage in Malawi this November 9th
Mark has undergone 10 major leg operations to date, hes been run over and broken both legs in 8 places in the past and also spent a year in a wheel chair with a disease in his knees making this incredible distance even more challenging.
This walk marks a full year after Mark under went a full knee replacement There will be no hotels and no comfy beds – he will be sleeping in tents on his way from Dover to Sittingbourne.
Mark is undertaking the sponsored walk challenge as part of the Wonderful Foundation’s Walk for Water campaign, raising funds for the installation of a clean water source at the Migowi School and Orphanage in Malawi.
Currently children and teachers from the school and orphanage have to walk 8km 6 times a day in order to fetch clean water for almost 200 children.
Mark Believes every child deserves clean fresh drinking water and he's determined to beat his pain in order to help not just these children but its entire community.
