Story

I am running the Birmingham Marathon on 15 October 2017 to raise funds for Kings Heath Cat Club (KHCC).

KHCC was initially set up to unite cat lovers in south Birmingham so that members could help each other with any cat related query or problem. Now - over five years later - it has grown considerably with thousands of members who try to make the area a more cat friendly neighbourhood. The group now runs its own cat rescue in conjunction with White Cross Vets in Kings Heath, Birmingham. All cats and kittens benefitting from the club's rescue are fully vet checked and treated, vaccinated, neutered, chipped and blood tested before being advertised for rehoming. Home checks are carried out before adoption to ensure the animals' welfare.

Those group members who help support cat rescues give their time freely, voluntarily and tirelessly - helping to save and improve the lives of cats who have been cruelly neglected. I am seeking to raise funds to help support the efforts of this group of selfless, incredible people and, in turn, help unfortunate and vulnerable creatures to survive and thrive.
