Story
We understand that the struggles people face are not only at Christmas. However, this holiday is such a magical time, and it’s completely unacceptable that any child should have to wake up without a gift on Christmas morning!
With the cost of living continuing to rise and things getting harder than before, the painful reality is that some families are having to make the very harsh decision of what is most important to them at this time, food, gas, or electricity. This is before they can even think about essential clothing or presents for their children.
Each year, the Come Together Christmas Appeal supports around 18 community centres as well as vulnerable community groups across the city. Last year alone this helped in providing over 3,000 families with toys, gifts, clothing, and gas and electricity vouchers.
This year, our mission is very clear: every single child in this city will wake up to a present on Christmas morning.
For this, we really want our city to come together and do what we can. When times are hard, there is no city on the planet that comes together the way the people of Liverpool do and this appeal is a clear demonstration of that spirit!
We appreciate any and all support.
Thank you, and season’s greetings,
Come Together
