Story

Hi my name is Mark Shallcross I'm 47 years old, I have a 9 year old son who is my world.

I was diagnosed 4 years ago with Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Liver Cirrhosis, Enlarged Spleen and Low Blood Platelets, fibromyalgia.

I was ok until about a year ago and I started to develop Ascites and I had to have my Abdomen drained monthly, because of this my body would not retain Protein and I've lost muscle mass on my left hand side so I now have to walk with a stick, I can't work or drive anymore, I was turned down for disability benefit twice, So depression has set in, I was evicted from my house in June 2019 as I couldn't afford to pay the rent, all my stuff was either sold or went into storage and I'm classed as homeless.

Things are starting to look good for me, I have had a operation at Kings College Hospital called a TIPS procedure which has helped with the Acites, I'm still homeless and sofa surfing, my stuff is still in storage which I can not afford to get out and I cannot afford a deposit for a flat and the council are not much hope. I'm at rock bottom

I start my Degree in Psychology with the Open University in February 2020

In time I will be starting my own charity to help others in the same situation.

Can You Please Help Me So That I Can Help Others.
