Olli’s Ride for Life – Give Blood, Give Hope

Our brave son Olli, just 15 years old, is currently fighting Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).

It’s a rare type of blood & bone marrow cancer that affects around 80 children a year in the UK, it happens when the body makes a large number of abnormal white blood cells that crowd out healthy blood cells.

He’s receiving life-saving treatment at the RVI Newcastle — including multiple blood transfusions, which have been vital to his care.

Olli’was just finishing year 10 at St Michael’s School Billingham where he has a close nit group of amazing friends , all who reached out to support him and some have even visited to lift his spirits, he says hello to everyone else there too!

Despite everything, Olli has remained incredibly positive and determined to give back.

🩸 That’s why this July, Olli is cycling 30km from his hospital room to raise awareness for the urgent need for blood donors across the UK.

We’re asking YOU to join Olli’s mission:

Any funds raised will help Olli access ADDITIONAL therapies and aids that improve his strength, comfort, and recovery — Including Holistic therapies with a coach, Functional nutrition and complimentary therapies. All to aid his recovery.
