raised of £500 target by 12 supporters

Weʼve raised £210 to be shared between Strathmore Cricket Club and Strathmore Sharks Rugby Club for the development of youth sport within the local community

Funded on Friday, 31st August 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

By taking part in the first ever Forfar Triathalon, I thought it would be a good idea to try and raise some money for good local causes. As I am personally involved with both Strathmore Cricket Club and Strathmore Sharks Rugby Club, those were the obvious choices. Both clubs are well run by good people, promoting and developing cricket and rugby for young people within the local community.

All money raised will be split between the 2 clubs and contribute to them continuing with their good work.

Many thanks to all who make a donation. It is very much appreciated.

Folks, The Triathlon has come and gone, and I'm still alive to tell the tale - 1 hour 2 minutes and 28 seconds saw me complete 400m in the pool, 11k on the bike and a 5k run. Although I have pledges from people who have chosen not to sponsor through Just Giving, we are still a way short of the target. Fear not, although the deed is done, you can still donate as the Just Giving page will remain open until the end of August. A big thanks to all who have donated so far. And to those thinking about it, you have 5 more weeks to do so. Mark

Folks, To anyone thinking of donating, and who is connected to the rugby club in particular, the club are offering a sponsored brick to anyone donating £100 or more. This means you will get your name engraved on a plaque which is displayed on the wall of the main staircase leading into the clubhouse, naming you as a sponsor of the club. Thanks to all have donated so far, and to those who are thinking about it but just haven't got around to it just yet! 6 days to go. Better get the speedos, BMX and Sambas look out! All the best, Mark
