I've raised £8000 to Part-fund the new roof for the Old School community resource

Market Lavington Parish Council are restoring the Old School building to ensure it continues to be available as one of the resources in our village. The work is partly funded by grants, partly by a Public Works Loan Board loan, but there is an opportunity for the community to contribute voluntarily. For example the roof replacement, part of the first of two phases of work, requires over 16,000 clay tiles to be replaced. If each tile could be the reason to raise just 50p we could contribute over £8,000 towards an eventual requirement of 30 times that amount.
When completed the false ceilings and supports will have been removed, allowing the original trusses to be restored and revealed as they were when the building was still a school.
