Story

We are raising £500 in memory of Mark Lupton, who was passionate about the community of Salford and mental health.

Recently, Mark worked on the Salford Men's Mental Health Commission, which was made up of local men, and was facilitated by Healthwatch Salford and funded by Salford City Council.

The work identified the importance of supporting men with their mental health and has given some key recommendations for the system to put into action.

Mark loved working on the commission and was incredibly proud of the impact it had made in such a short space of time. He was also a big champion of Talk About it Mate, which is a Salford-based social enterprise offering creative approaches to mental health and championing peer support in our everyday lives.

Because of this, Mark's family has decided to donate the money raised in Mark's memory to them. All funds will go directly towards providing inclusive spaces for men to connect and support one another.
