Meet Leon. He is sensitive, funny, and the bravest little man I know. He is my 6 year old sweetheart who was diagnosed with autism in November 2012 at the age of two years and six months.
Leon also has sensory processing disorder, dyspraxia, OCD and asthma. He has been hospitalised twice with severe attacks in the last 24 months.

Leon is a sensory seeker and tactile defensive amongst other things. Noise and smells also upset him, and when anxious/overstimulated/in crisis Leon will either fight or take flight - run. Leon is a danger to himself and others outside due to his lack of danger awareness. He has run out into the path of oncoming traffic on the roads on more than one occasion. The safest way of travelling with Leon is with him in his special needs stroller, which is now on its last legs.

Occupational therapy for Leon wasn’t seen as a priority here in the UK despite the issues we were dealing with, and after much research I took him out to the United States where he received intensive therapy. However, Leon continues to self-harm and harm others. We're again fighting for occupational therapy as Leon continues to run, scratch and claw at his face, bangs his head with his fists and attacks me and anyone else around him when in overload crisis.

Leon has twice been denied reinstatement of his DLA because he was out of the country for too long.
He has needs that I cannot meet so here I am praying for monetary funding for the items and help he desperately needs. It will make a massive difference in his life.
