    Story

In loving memory of our beautiful baby boy, George, Ben and I are raising money for the Bereavement Suite at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

George was born sleeping at 21 weeks gestation on 30th August 2022 due to a number of life-limiting foetal abnormalities.

We have been supported during this heartbreaking experience by the most compassionate and caring bereavement midwives - Michelle and Charlotte. We were cared for throughout our hospital stay in a specialist bereavement suite set up in the Delivery Suite. It is a calming en suite room with a double bed, sofa, kitchenette, television and lots of tiny baby clothes as well as the conventional medical equipment discreetly placed.

Sadly, it is inevitable that we will not be the last parents who will require the use of the Bereavement Suite and the support of the bereavement midwives. Therefore, we would love to raise some money in George’s name to enhance the facilities by making it as comfortable as possible for any families that find themselves in the worst time of their lives, like we were.

Every tiny bit counts, even if it’s just enough to put a sweet treat in the fridge for someone or for a speaker to play some music 💕

”He will never know pain. He will only ever know our love.”

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated towards the fundraising. Your donations mean so much and go such a long way. The fundraising has helped us to create well-being boxes for bereaved parents - we have called them “Love from George”. We have had great feedback from them so far and we will keep re-stocking these until we have no money left! Since my last update, we have also donated towards the 4Louis memory-making boxes and Aching Arms Bears - 2 charities that we have had support from and want to give back to. ❤️
