Story
In November 2020 at just 3 years only Elsie collapsed. She was found to have a heart murmur but this seemed innocent so many investigations, scans and tests took place over the following year. She then suffered more faints and was referred to Bristol childrens hospital and there cardiology team in September last year, where she went to have an implanted heart recorder fitted, we have been told she is suggestive of paroxysmal complete heart block / heart pauses. In short Complete heart block is the electrical impulses (that tell your heart when to beat) do not pass between the top (atria) and bottom chambers (ventricles) of your heart. This can affect the flow of blood to your body and brain leading to fainting and potential sudden cardiac death. There is only one life saving device to help the heart and that’s a DEFIBRILLATOR ❤️
Elsies school Bishops in Newquay have been absolutely amazing and after a meeting to complete her care plan there was no question about the little funds they have, Elsie was priority and a defibrillator was ordered straight away should she (or anyone else) need the life saving treatment ❤️. This of course came at a big cost of £1500 , funds they don’t have and that was taken from the money raised from the Christmas stalls. It is a cost Elsie and I are hoping to recover. After all the reassurance this has provided us as a family is priceless and of course there is no price on the lives it could save ❤️
please help us by donating anything you can ❤️
