We are raising £3,500 for an environment project. We have set up a local community group to hopefully purchase a green/recreational space behind Buckhurst Drive, Eastchurch Road and Sandhurst Road, Cliftonville, to keep it as a recreational ground for all local residents to continue to use. It is currently used by local children and grandchildren to play ball, local elderly residents who cannot walk to far to exercise their dogs, and to hold community events for example celebrating the late queens Diamond Jubilee. If it is sold to developers or speculators this land will become private and no longer be a public space, and possibly not maintained, allowing it to become and overgrown unusable space.
