Story

Hello, I am self employed Property Maintenance Person and every year i give away a day free to help someone in need of some work done in their home or garden. As well as doing that this year i would also like to give 4 Hampers to people or families that need them the most. I spent time homeless when i was younger, 6 years in fact, And i know the struggles that come with that. I was lucky to have some support around me and help me through the worst times. This help isn't just for the homeless, But for families too that struggle at what is meant to be the most beautiful time of the year, I love christmas and everything that comes with it, But for some people its a real struggle to get by, Trying to provide gifts and food for their families and children when money is already tight enough. For some people it is breaking point. This is very close to my heart and any money raised will go a long way to hopefully bring some joy to people. I know this is only the tip of the iceberg and there are many that raise money for this cause but as i give away a day free already, It would be nice to add something to that to make it even more special. Thank you.

EVERY YEAR I WORK A DAY FOR ABSOLUTELY FREE FOR SOMEONE IN NEED.

This Christmas I would like to help somebody who would like some work done by offering my services free of charge for one day. I have gone through periods of struggle where I have had the help of others and am very grateful for that help and in return would now like to help somebody myself who for what ever reason is deserving of my help. If you do know somebody please do forward their information on to me. Thank you, please share this around norfolk and suffolk.

PREVIOUS WINNERS:

2016 WINNER: Last years winner was a dad from Norwich who had served in the army and unfortunately had lost the use of his legs. We helped turn his garden into a place to relax again and it was an absolute pleasure.

2015 WINNER: Was a single dad from cromer who had raised a family on a budget ( and did a very good job ) and his daughter thought he deserved to have some work done in his house. We laid a vinyl floor for him in his livingroom.

CHRISTMAS HAMPERS:

This year as well as our free day give away, We would also like to donate some Christmas hampers to some families in need.
