Story

Since leaving my role within the Contact Centre Industry in 2011 I've had a total change of career. This new career has been focused on children and has been so rewarding. 2 years as a Playworker, 18 months as Chef delivering fun workshops linked to the National Curriculum in Primary Schools across NW England and more recently at West Cheshire College as the Enrichment Officer. I've worked with children in some of the most affluent areas of the NW as well as the most deprived areas. The children I will be working with in Africa have a far different life to those I have come in to contact in the UK. The environment is harsh, money is scarce, education is limited, life expectancy is short, health care expensive. I hope the skills the students I'm accompanying and my own will help them develop as individuals, provide some fun times and improve the communities in which they live.
Its just a week of my privileged life I'm giving up I know but its a start and I hope you can give up a little of your money to help me help others. All donations are important and if I can smash the total I will be able to take additional resources with me to help the community.

Never ever done this before but helped many others for causes close to their heart. I'm hoping that support has been appreciated and will be reciprocated. I'm leading 12 students at West Cheshire College aged 16 to 44 in carrying out Volunteering Work in Gunjar, Gambia.
