On the 17th June I wrote on Facebook about Ana who sells the Big Issue near me outside the large Tesco's in Chineham, Basingstoke. Ana is a single mother with a poorly two year old who is in and out of hospital with a serious kidney problem. Ana's only support is her elderly mother. Ana has to travel from Slough to Basingstoke to sell the Big Issue and often barely makes enough money per day for food after travel. Ana is unassuming and shy and rarely sells more than 5 copies per day - no where as many as she needs.

She is a lovely person and tries so hard to stay positive. I shared her details on Facebook with her permission to try and increase her sales - as you can imagine it has had minimal effect. It was mentioned by some as a result of the post that I should look at Just Giving hence this campaign.

I have signed up to run the Winchester Half Marathon on the 24th September.

I am seriously out of shape , well not true I have a shape but its mainly round. So as I write this I have 75 days to get in shape to make it round.

I am hoping that people will at the very least sponsor me the price of a Big Issue (£2.50)

This is the first time I have ever done anything like this. It is with Ana's permission and I will have to provide updates as to how I get the funds to her.
