Story

I am running the Bournemouth half marathon raising money for Ty Elis because I see first-hand the incredible difference this free counselling service makes to people across South Wales.

As a volunteer counsellor with Ty Elis, I’ve had the privilege of being part of an organisation that provides compassionate, professional support to people when they need it most. Every day, Ty Elis helps people improve their mental health, rebuild hope, and make positive changes in their lives. For some, the support they receive is truly life-changing and, in some cases, it can even be life-saving.

Access to counselling should never depend on someone’s ability to pay, which is why services like Ty Elis are so important. Every donation will help ensure that more people can receive the support they need during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

My fundraising challenge is also a personal one. I started running to lose weight, improve my health, and become a fitter, happier version of myself. Running has become my way of looking after my own physical and mental wellbeing. By taking on this challenge, I’m combining my personal journey with the opportunity to give something back to a cause that means so much to me.

If you’re able to support me, no matter how big or small the donation, you’ll be helping Ty Elis continue its amazing work and make a real difference to the lives of people across South Wales.

Thank you so much for your support.
