I've raised £500 to Scouts Initiative to support for Ukraine

As you are aware I have become a scout leader in autumn last year. Our 8th Prestwich and 22nd Prestwich Scouts groups have been helping organising donations for Ukraine as many of our scouts members are from Ukraine or of Ukrainian heritage. Together with the help of local community they managed to already sent 6-7 vans full off necessery supplies as sleeping bags/tents/medical/ toiletries and baby nappies to Uzhorod in Ukraine from where; these are distrubuted locally. Tonight an artic lorry is being loaded and will set off towards Europe. Effort of small groups and local community can bring such a change and difference.
I have never fundraised, but as I am running the Wilmslow Half Marathon on Sunday it feels like an excellent opportunity to ask colleagues and friends for support us as a team. I am running the 13 miles with mind that my free/light and voluntary 13 miles is being covered by children, young and old; many times over in order to escape to safety.
I have set a first milestone target which can hel to fund bulk buy medical supplies and towards the cost of transport.
And for anyone that likes the new scouting badge, this is design by our own Baloo and has been preaproved by our own county to wear as an occasional badge. These can be preordered and full fundraise will go towards funds for Ukraine support.
Together we make a difference and small things matters.
