I've raised £1000 to raise funds for Second Chance, Wakefield.

I'm running Tough Mudder (10 mile) to raise funds for 2nd Chance Headway Centre, Wakefield, on 29/07/2018!
2nd Chance Headway Centre are a small charity, located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Take a look at their website for a bit more about them!
http://schc.co.uk/
Their goal is to assist those who are living with brain injury in the local area, be it through Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and general support and advice for the service users and their carers and families.
As a small charity, 2nd Chance are always looking for new ways to raise funds for their community, and I feel the little guys don't always get enough support and coverage as they should, so wanted to do my bit for a group of people who share such a worthy vision!
I met Pete Taylor, the business manager of 2nd Chance, a couple of years ago through my own business], and on learning about 2nd Chance, and what they do for the community, I felt incredibly inspired by his story, the story of the charity, and the ways in which him and his fantastic team and community members had progressed in what can be a very aggressive industry.
I've seen the charity go from strength to strength, on visiting their centre on Almhouse Lane in Wakefield, I was immediately welcomed by staff and service users alike, it's like a big family, where people have a say, and I think that is incredibly important to bond a community and staff
While I don't have first hand experience, I know brain injury can be a very isolated place, and think what 2nd Chance do is an invaluable service to our community, it's clear that the team really care and connect with the people they help, be it people living with brain injury, or the families who's lives have changed and just need a bit of help.
2nd Chance make a direct and visible contribution to my home town, and I think that is incredibly important, show your support and help out as best you can!
