Story

Martin had a serious motorbike accident last Saturday (24 February). He crashed into a tractor and was airlifted to intensive care unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Since then he has had a few operations including having his left leg amputated. He has a punctured lung, 3 broken ribs, a lacerated spleen. He has a fractured right ulna bone in his forearm which has been pinned. He had an open fracture to his pelvis and this has a plate put into it now. His left arm and shoulder have been numb with pins and needles they have sent his MRI scans and X-rays to a nerve specialist in Glasgow for his opinion but in the meantime he has his left hand splinted and physio coming in every morning doing a few things exercises with the arm.
