Story

We are needing a scan for Lucy who has a brain tumour. You may remember Lucy when you helped get her a scan early last year. Unfortunately Lucy is demonstrating some very un-Lucy like behaviour. She runs up to people and barks and scares them, and she has on a few occasions been very bad tempered with Merlin, her doggie brother. She eats constantly- no she does not have worms- and anything she can find goes down the neck. She also sleeps a lot. She is only five! Our vet has suggested she may be getting dementia. We want to ensure that it is not her tumour growing again so that we know the best way to treat her. The only way we can see into her brain is to get a scan and her insurance has run out of money and will not extend her insurance as she has a tumour. We are saving as hard as we can to try and get her another scan but we can't do it fast enough. We are replacing the walls in our house at present to give her a nice warm home, and money is tight! I know money is not good for anyone at present, but if a few people could see their way to helping with the odd few bits of change, it would all help. If she needs medication we can pay on a monthly basis, but a big sum like this we cannot do so easy. We would be so very grateful, and regret so much having to appeal like this again, but we love our baby girl so very much.
Thank you for reading

Please help us if you can. Lucy deserves to have this scan so we know of it is tumour causing the problem or whether dementia is developing. It then gives us the chance to treat her appropriately which we can do month by month- it is just finding a big lump sum for a scan that is posing us a problem as insurance won't increase her cover and the hospital won't wait for this large amount- oh we have tried! xx
