Story
Mary and her daughter Camellia need help to prove their identity and their right to be in the UK.
Mary does not have the funds for this and I want to help her and her 3-month-old daughter through crowdfunding. Lets all help Mary get the funds to prove her identity, and to prove that she is Camellias mother, and to get her citizenship confirmed.
Mary`s mother is British, but sadly has been in a psychiatric Institution since Mary came to the UK with her sisters at age 14. Having been put into care, Mary has struggled to maintain her relationships with her family since then, and has been single-handedly fighting a long battle with the Home Office since 2006
I have known Mary as a musician for more than ten years. Mary is an amazing woman a talented singer and a part of the Manchester music community. She has overcome an unbelievable series of mistakes, losses and discrimination by the Home Office and Social services and is still willing to reach out to people and share a smile and a chat.
Mary finally has legal representation willing to represent her for free, but we just need to raise money for DNA tests to prove that Mary is her mothers’ daughter. Despite letters from Health Professionals and her birth certificate, the Home Office refuses to believe that 3-month-old Camellia is Marys daughter, so DNA tests are needed to prove this. Court costs and Barrister fees , to have their identity verified, and Home Office Applications. Any funds raised in excess of Marys` needs will be donated to a Manchester based charity RAPAR, a Human rights-based organisation that works with people who are at risk of having their rights denied
This is urgent as Mary, and her daughter Camellia who was born in this country are under imminent threat of detention.
