Story

Dear friends and fellow community members, it is with a heavy heart that I come to you today, to share the tragic news of one of our parents, Mary Cormican's passing. Mary was an exceptional woman, and her sudden departure has left us all reeling with shock and sadness.

Mary originally hailed from Swinford County Mayo, and moved over to England when she was a young working lady. Moving to the Luton area shortly after spending a brief time in London. Mary was a member of St Martins Parish in Luton, and was well liked and respected amongst the parish member's. Mary devoted her time to helping others. Marys kindness, generosity, and willingness to put others before herself was an inspiration to all around her. Mary gave birth to both Catherine and Rachel in Luton. Bringing them girls up to reflect the same special qualities Mary herself possessed.

In the midst of this difficult time, we must remember that Mary has left behind two beautiful daughters, Catherine and Rachel.

Catherine is a keen horse rider. Mary would take Catherine all over the UK so she could ride her horses. Catherine also played in our Clovers team.

Rachel is playing in our U12s team, and has been in the club for a number of years. Rachel is a talented footballer. Representing the Beds FA Girls Elite Academy.

As a community club, we have always prided ourselves on being there for each other, through thick and thin. Today, I am reaching out to you all, to ask for your support in helping Catherine and Rachel in their time of need.

We are launching this just giving page to raise funds to assist with Mary's funeral costs. But we are hoping to go above and beyond that, by raising enough money to provide for the girls' future as well.

These two young girls have lost their mother, and now it falls upon us to do what we can to support them. With your generosity and the support of the wider community, we can come together to help our fellow Luton Celtic youth girls.

We are a community club that cares for each other, and I know that we can make a difference for these two wonderful girls.

Thank you for your support and generosity. Let us keep Mary, Catherine, and Rachel in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
