Maryland Events Group - a team of volunteers who work to organise events aiming to bring the community closer together

We are organising a Festive Fair and Grotto "Merryland" a time to celebrate the festive season, in a way that is both culturally inclusive and accessible for all children.

The Cart and Horses have gifted an amazing space for us to turn into a magical grotto and local businesses will be selling seasonal gifts and wares that represent the multicultural community in which we live. There will be free hot chocolate for every child.

However, we need to get the funds to transform the area into a magical place so Santa can give every child a magical gift and provide great activities on each day.

We are borrowing, upcycling and reusing as much as possible, but we need to buy some building materials for costumes as well as subsidise the cost of the gifts.

Our local Councillor is also a professional set and costume designer, and she will be working alongside young people from the community to build the set.

The cost to visit Santa in local shopping centres is becoming unaffordable for parents, especially given the current times. Depending on how much we raise, will decide how much we can bring to the event ,

THIS IS NOT FOR PROFIT. All money raised will be used to make the event more memorable and special. We are already planning a Caribbean Christmas day
