Story

Michal was only 13 years old. When he was born, he was diagnosed with a cancer and as a 9months old baby, he went through the courses of chemotherapy and had his eye removed as a result of it. Dad came to work in the UK to make sure they could afford the treatments back in Poland. His health was under ongoing control with the hospital in Poland and continued in Children's Hospital in Birmingham when they joined their Dad and moved to the UK six years later.

Michal's health was stabilized and he was growing as a cheerful, busy boy. He loved playing in the park, riding the bike and playing games. He absolutely loved going for trips with his brother, mom and dad to Shell Island and discovering rock pools, crabs and all other water creatures. Mom and Dad always tried to make sure, that Michal and Kuba spend as much time outdoors as possible. They would go for weekends away in remote Wales, staying in their tents, they would visit parks, forests and rivers all around the UK, they would go abroad whenever they could afford to and they would go back to their homeland and spend time in polish Bieszczady's forests and rivers and fields with Grandparents, aunt and uncle, who cherished this boy so much, and were so grateful that he could be with them.

For the whole 13 years.

On Thursday the 15th of February 2018, Michal died. The life, such young life, was taken, suddenly, unfairly... He played his guitar, trying out the new strings that Thursday. He was cheerful and couldn't wait for his mom to come back home.

Mom was on her way and when she got home, she found him unresponsive, on the floor...

Please imagine the Mom, the Dad and the older Brother. Twenty minutes earlier their son and brother was busy with his new little project, excited to see his mom.... and then... he was gone... just like that...

The grieve this family is coping with now, is unimaginable. The unexpected death of their young Brother and Son, and Grandson and Nephew.... leaves them numb, leaves them overwhelmed and shattered...

No-one expects death in a family, and for sure not such a young child's. They are not prepared emotionally and also financially to cope with such stress, therefore, please, be sure all your kind donations will contribute to the cost of Michal's funeral and transport to his homeland, where all of the family will always be able to visit him, all his cousins, Grandfathers and Grandmothers, will be able to look after his grave and cherish the memory of him forever...

If you are thinking about getting the card or flowers to show your empathy, please instead, donate the money towards Michal's funeral and transport costs... it will be remembered and appreciated...
