I've raised £1000 to MAS App - Moving Around Safely Ltd

.defibrdefibrillatorOn March 11th 2020 my life was turned upside down after a phone call telling me to get to there quick as my 21 year old son Mason Lee James Ah-mun had collapsed and the outcome wasn't looking hopeful. Within 30 minutes I received the devastating news that my son had passed away from Sudden Arrythmia Death Syndrome, commonly known as SADS. Mason had always told me that he was going to develop an App. Mason and his friend had spent hours trying to think of something that would take off and be successful whilst also being useful to the public.Following his sudden death I decided I would find an idea and fulfill his dreams in his name, so he would not be forgotten, as there would be no grandchildren to carry on his name. I thought this would be a productive way to channel my grief and do something Mason would be proud of, my Forever 21 year old.
MAS App is primarily an equality and diversity App which includes information for defibrillators that are accessible to the public- the App will be available in Welsh and English. The aim of MAS App is to allow consumers to locate defribilators and promote services and business that treat people with equity, no matter of skin colour, disabilities, size, culture or sexual orientation- as well as showing whether they have a local defribilator. We will be providing these as time goes on using money donated to the charity element of the business.
The other prominent feature on the App is in the Map section, an icon that will locate your nearest Defibrillator - Saving Lives; in order to help should anyone suffer from SADS or other respiratory illness that may need a defibrillator - if they collapse time is of the essence, there is only a 15-minute window to give lifesaving assistance. The App will walk you specifically to your nearest available defibrillator. The App will also have demonstrations on how to use the defibrillators. Much of the defibrillator information was sourced from the British Heart Foundation, who have kindly shared their information.
MAS App aims to promote diversity and equality and provide positive daily living support for those that experience any inequality. MAS App will be great not just for the everyday use, but also for anyone visiting Wales; as they can access areas, businesses services and know they are safe and will be treated fairly, without discrimination. Be You, Be Free, Be Safe.
The app incurs running costs and i along with some friends will be doing the worlds fastest zipwire- the velocity 2!! Please help us to raise funds to keep the app running- any little helps. Fundraising ensures way we can continue to place defibrillators and add them to our, ever updating, database/locater.
