Story

I had a motorbike accident 16 years ago and lost the use of his right arm.

I was riding my motorbike down a country road when a car pulled out in front of me. I tried to avoid the car by going around it but unfortunately it turned and I hit the front of the car. After hitting the front of the car and was thrown off and basically rugby tackled a telegraph pole which caused me to have a Brachial Plexus injury. There are 5 main nerves that control feeling and movement to your arm and I snapped 3 and ripped 2 of them.

This has left me with no feeling or movement in my right arm.

They re-attached the 3 ripped nerves by taking a nerve out of my forearm but unfortunately they couldn't operate on the 2 ripped nerves because they were too close to my spine and they didn't want to risk any further damage to the other limbs.

I have naturally regained feeling and movement down to my elbow in the last 16 years but I know need mechanical help to progress any further.

We are trying to raise £40,000 for a new bionic arm which can really help with regaining feeling and movement. This is the first piece of technology that could actually bring my arm back to life.
