Lancaster is a small community of approx 120 muslim families. For years we have managed with a small mosque for daily prayers and education for our children.

With a significantly growing community (we are a university town with muslims joining us from far and wide) our current facilities have become increasingly difficult and essential facilities are needed for our prayers.

In 2012, we acquired with the help of the local community a premises so that we could develop a purpose built prayer facility.

With generous help from our local families, we have been able to raise £125,000 however we are desperately short of funds, work has halted on our mosque project and we are forced to use temporary facilities as a stop gap measure.

We ask anyone and everyone to please help our cause. This will allow our growing community of families the basics needed for prayer and education.
