Story

The time has come, I am fundraising for Stamford Gymnastics Club to purchase equipment so they can open up into a purpose built facility.

I have been working towards this for the past 6 years, and for those who have been a member of the club for a long period of time will know this has been my dream for a long time but due to external factors I haven’t been in a position that would have allowed me to come away from a stable salary, not to mention the dreaded Covid-19 situation. I have now come away from a gymnastics club that I have worked at for the past 10 years to hopefully provide Stamford with something that I feel is very much in the need of.

I have set myself 12 months to raise as much funds as I can so that Stamford Gymnastics Club can purchase equipment such as biscuit matting for under the bars and beam, crash mats for under as much of the equipment as possible and top matting for the floor area. The grand finale of this fundraiser with be me taking part in a sky dive.

I have set a target of £15,000, I know this I a huge amount but this will give the club the best possible start in a facility. The club is frequently being contacted regarding Pre-school gymnastics, free play sessions, gymnastics parties and just more classes for our already full recreational Programme, all of which we can offer in our own facility. We now have a waiting list of 300+ gymnasts waiting to join our classes and it fills me with pride that that many gymnasts want to join the club, it also excites me to think that potentially we can offer them classes in 12 months time.

Please help me achieve my goal to help Stamford Gymnastics Club have the opportunity to provide Stamford with its very first purpose built gymnastics club and allow the club to offer gymnastics classes for the community.
