Story

Growing up, I was one of them kids, overweight, bullied, depressed and struggling with being gay. My only escape from my world at the time was to dance. I had no confidence in going to any schools or classes so I would learn of the tv in my bedroom. I wouldn't play out like your typical kid would. I would stay in until i mastered the routine i was trying. Now im 24, confident in my sexuality and ready to share my story. I still struggle with depression and anxiety but when dance is around I forget all about that! And that's what I want to do with the kids of today. People think mental health only affects adults but the truth is, many yound people struggle with it and have no idea how to talk about it. I am raising money to gain my official qualification, then my aim is to host dance classes through the week, free of charge for the kids in the area where the parents donate what they want into the charity box and each month this will be given to different charities that help young people with mental health issues.
