I've raised £3000 to for Lifepoint, part of Lifehouse Church and Neonatal unit Chesterfield

This fundraiser is to raise money for Chesterfield NHS Neonatal and Lifepoint
The first part of this fundraiser is to say thank you to lifepoint charity in Chesterfield.
3 years ago my wife and I spent three months in hospital with our son Jackson, when he was born 11 weeks early in April 2018 weighing just 2lb 11oz. Our life as we knew it came to a halt at his sudden and unexpected arrival into the world, and we found our world completely turned upside down. Jackson spent two weeks in the NICU and a further seven weeks in special care on the Neonatal unit. During this time Pastor Paul and Sarah were an enormous support along with the wider members of the church. They prayed with us and for us for God's healing, strength and protection over Jackson when our faith was low. Even to this day we know God plays a big role in our family. We will never be able to put into words how much they did for us, but we hope this event will raise funds to help other people in need of support.
Jackson came through his nine week journey in hospital and now lives with cerebral palsy which affects both of his legs. Lifehouse have again continued to support us and have funded a specialist therapy bike for him to help continue his vital physiotherapy. The impact of this bike will be lifechanging for Jackson. Part of the fund raiser is that Lifehouse have a branch called Lifepoint and would like all funds raised to go to Lifepoint.
Lifepoint supports four key areas in the community - Homeless & Needy, Family, Youth and Elderly. This is staffed by volunteers aim to reduce social exclusion, to raise hope and combat loneliness through practical giving of time and service. The funds raised will ensure that Lifepoint can continue to help in assisting the individuals and help them take the next step forward in their journey.
Also whilst doing this the funds will be split to the Neonatal ward Chesterfield NHS for the outstanding work, care and love they gave to our son Jackson in his time of need. They went to every step to make sure his journey went on.
To help raise these funds I will be running 50km (31 miles) on May the 29th running through the peak district with an elevation of 4300ft. This is no easy task to take on but we believe in big challenge for big outcome.
