I've raised £500 to help young people avoid the trap of poverty, homelessness, violence, poor mental health and addiction resulting from being unemployed.

Story

Many young people ( 1 out of 10 in the UK) will be struggling this year not only to find a job but to maintain it. Because of that they will be inching closer to absolute poverty, homeleness, depression and despair. When we pass by that homeless young man or woman on the street, not even paying attention to him or her, we mostly forget that for many of us, at one point or another in our life, that person could have been us, would we not have been so fortunate as to have some money saved for a raining day, a caring family or good friends to help us weather the storm. I have been there several times and was fortunate not to end up on street. Each other is all we have! Being a big believer of being given a fair chance, I would like to raise £600. With such an amount the Opera Global Youth Foundation can cover a full month of costs incurred by a new worker ( work clothes, transport, food, etc) before a first salary payment ( and we all know how hard that first month is). Thank you for your indispensable support. Even the smallest donation will make a massive difference in one of these young workers' lives. In order to donate please click : DONATE HERE
