I've raised £3000 to help fund a Global Action expedition to Nepal to help UK veterans and build a school

This October, thanks to the non-profit organization Global Action, I will have the amazing opportunity to go to Nepal as part of an international volunteering project with other members of my school, the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle. Before the trip, we must however raise funds to involve our community towards our common objective. This includes two main goals:
1) Help local communities
During our trip, we will visit Pokhara, a city at the start of the Annapurna valley. There, we will helping at a girls school, digging holes and assisting local engineers install a 10,000L water tank. Furthermore, during our stay we will be teaching young Buddhist monks English, culminating in a friendly football match. Finally, we will help local tourism industries including Nepalese-run trek lodges and tea shops.
2) Interact and donate to international charities
We also have the opportunity to meet and cooperate with worldwide charities. Notably, we will help the Gurkha Welfare Trust, a British Army veteran charity that supports the local communities from which soldiers originate from, as well as the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), where we will undertake a participatory workshop to share ideas and learn about the livelihoods of the population in the mountains. These charities, as well as the UK Department for International Development and the Practical Action offices in Nepal will all receive a portion of the money donated to aid the people of this developing country.
I am very excited and impatient to undertake this voyage, as it would cause true change and good to the Nepalese communities. Moreover, I am also truly grateful towards any donation you would be able to make. Your help will enable us to change lives.
Thank you,
Mathurin Dulout
