Story
The kids of Grindleford village have set up a virtual running club during lockdown. They've been doing some amazing challenges and having a lot of fun. They've decided to really challenge themselves and attempt to break the record to run from Lands End to John O'Groats between them; it's 1,407km and the record is 9 days and 2 hours! There are 25 kids taking part. They are raising money for Matlock Food Bank and Eyam Pump Track.
£704 is half of our £1,407 target. If we can raise more then we will try harder!

4 years agoWe've billed yesterday as 'Super Sunday'! Three of the kids ran a full marathon, and between the group they smashed their daily record with a massive 306km! As a result we've had loads more donations and are closing in on John O Groats. At this rate they should get there some time this afternoon, a day and a half quicker than the record! Thank you so much for your donations.

4 years agoSo the kids are onto day 5 of the challenge and it's beginning to feel challenging. Yesterday they smashed it and ran a whopping 225km! Some of them are feeling it today, but we are just about half way there so please keep the donations coming in as they really do help!
