Story
My son, Matthew, was killed on Monday 6th July 2020 in a fatal motorbike accident.
Matt was an annoying, loving, funny, quirky son to me, and brother to Katie, and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
With a care-free attitude and a heart of gold, he will leave a huge hole in the lives of many, including his girlfriend Courtney and her daughter Ashleigh.
We want to give Matt the send off he would have loved and have therefore arranged for him to travel in a Triumph Bonneville sidecar outfit. However this means that there will be no facility for transporting flowers. Instead we are asking for donations to be made to this Just Giving page to enable us to share any funds raised between 2 charities that we feel Matt would have liked us to support.
Matt's funeral will take place at 3pm on Friday 24th July 2020 at Eastbourne Crematorium. We are limited on the number of people allowed inside, but for anyone who wishes, the service will be relayed through outside speakers, where people are welcome to gather providing they follow current Government guidelines with regard to social distancing.
A wake will follow at Matt's favorite custom bike cafe.

4 years agoWe would like to thank each and every one of you for your generous donations and advise that we have now stopped accepting donations online. We now requested the funds from the site and, on receipt, we be sending the donations to the charities. Proof of receipt will be requested from the charities and posted on here for all to see. 4 years agoI cannot believe the generosity of people. I thought £500 was a sensible target, particularly given the uncertainty this year has brought for so many. My family & I are just blown away. We hit our target less than 6 hours after it was set, & cannot thank you all enough for your generosity. Obviously nothing will make up for the loss of Matt, but we know he would have wanted something good to come out of it. Donations can be made until 31st July 2020 so come on - let's see just how big this can go!! And once again, massive thanks to you all xxx
