Story
As many of you will know, George had an accident at work and as a result is now under the care of The Royal Brompton Heart and Lung specialists in London. George is currently unconscious and attached to an ECMO machine in order to give his lungs the best chance to repair from the damage sustained.
This clearly makes visiting George difficult for Ali and her family due to the distance from home. The purpose of this page is to raise funds to support the family with travel and accommodation costs incurred during this difficult time.
George is a popular and well know member of our community and many people will have connections through his various vocations over the years; be it Fishing, the Fire Service, the building trade and of course The Exeter Chiefs to name a few.
Whilst many can offer practical support locally, it is hoped we can help a little with the financial implications of George being so far from home.
Donating financially is a very personal choice and we thank you in advance for any expression of generosity.
We sent our heartfelt support to Ali and all of her family and our love and prayers to George, in the hope of a full and speedy recovery.
Get well soon Georgy-Lew
