Story
So guys! Big day on the 30th September. I start my ascent of Kilimanjaro!
I’ll be climbing the highest lone peak in the world for 7 days and hopefully surviving the harsh conditions (most worryingly the lack of phone signal!) and reaching the summit - where, yes, I will obviously be posing for a naked picture!
I struggle to climb the stairs and would always rather take the lift, WTF am I doing?!
But in all seriousness, as excited as I am, it isn’t going to be easy so I need to make it worthwhile and raise some money for some great causes.
As you may know I do most of my charitable giving through The Matt Haycox Foundation where we always aim to make not A difference, but THE difference in changing the lives of children and their families less fortunate than our own.
From building an adventure play garden for foster kids through to funding the life changing operation for a cerebral palsy sufferer, we are always on the look out for UK based causes that we can get emotionally attached to and bring our funding and contacts to support.
Also, I always think it is super important to let you all know that every single running cost of the charity is paid by me. I could never in good conscience ask my friends to support causes where anything less than 100% of their funds go to the intended destination.
So whatever you can give, no matter how small, is super super appreciated by both me and all the families we work with.
So wish me luck! I’ll be putting 1 foot in front of the other and making it to the top to thank you all!
Lots of Love, Matt xx
