I've raised £2500 to look after our elderly, vulnerable and those at higher risk of coronavirus in the village during the pandemic.

We've set up this crowdfunding page to look after our elderly, vulnerable and those at higher risk of coronavirus in our village during the pandemic.
Staying at home and away from other people (social distancing) presents a lot of challenges for the elderly, vulnerable and those at higher risk.
We intend to support them in overcoming these challenges, enabling them to stay safe at home and stop the infection spreading by shopping for their basic necessities (food and medicine) providing anti bacterial soaps, hand sanitiser, tissues, toilet paper FREE of CHARGE.
In addition to this we have set up a network of 35+ volunteers to cover the entire village to pick up shopping, medical supplies, offer friendly phone calls, post letters/pay bills etc
We've helped our residents stay in touch with family and friends and developed a wide range of activities to keep them busy (both physically and mentally occupied) activities like:
- A FREE library where elderly/vulnerable residents can take as many books, CD's, DVD's, crosswords, sudoku, jigsaws and art therapy etc as they wish - all donated by the village and delivered FREE of charge.
- FREE grow your own sunflower kits to plant in their gardens keeping bodies and minds occupied and delivered FREE of charge.
- FREE takeaway afternoon tea's to enjoy in their gardens or in the comfort of their home/s and delivered FREE of charge.
