Weʼve raised £40,833 to save Letton Hall from closure in the next 6 months, by providing salaries for the key staff members and urgent repairs.

    Story

We have raised the bar on this crowdfunder! New target: £50K

We initially set the target figure at £25K. In two weeks we’ve been overwhelmed by people’s response. What has been donated really will help, but Letton are not ‘out of the woods’ financially, even with all we have raised.

The Letton team have the challenge of rebuilding their bookings in 2021. This will not be easy and will take time. Income will not flood back in straight away at the same rate. Even with the amount raised so far they still face a huge challenge next year.

So for that reason - I’m upping the target to £50,000 and asking you all to continue to pray, to share and spread the word especially to people, churches, groups who have been to Letton Hall.

They will need everything we can raise and more to help them in what is still an unknown future.

So, yes I’ve set the figure higher! I have no vested interest bar my love for this place! Let’s see if we can do this - I believe we can!

    ORIGINAL FUNDRAISING STORY:

Letton Hall in Norfolk is a place that means so much to me. I've had such a connection with this place over the years, there's no place I would rather bring people to meet with God.

Letton has had no income during lockdown. With the end of the furlough scheme, and continued restrictions on gatherings, they are in a very difficult position.

At the end of October they will make the vast majority of their staff redundant and will keep a very small team to see if they can continue until the situation improves.

If nothing changes at some point in the early part of 2021 Letton could close on a permanent basis.

The team at Letton are doing everything they can to save the business – they have explored government guidance and applied for the Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage grants to no avail. They will close unless other sources of support become available.

Many of you reading this will have a personal connection with Letton, it’s part of your story as it is mine. Please will you join me by giving, sharing this, and telling others about their situation. We can do something to secure Letton as a place for future generations to be impacted for Jesus. Please give generously!

Please watch the video update about the progress of the Letton Hall Crowdfunder! With the online and offline giving we are now needing just over £4000 to reach our goal of £50K! Let me say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported Letton Hall. We would like to get this over the line - and Christmas, even in the current climate, is a great time to encourage people to add their support to this cause. Letton still need our help, prayers and financial support. As we go into the New Year let’s keep praying and standing with Letton Hall.

I lead a charity in Peterborough, CROPS, working with young people in schools and across churches. We run residentials and events for young people. I have been going to Letton Hall since I was a teenager and take groups of young people away there each year.
