Story
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with over 40,000 new cases diagnosed every year.
The number of men dying from prostate cancer every year has for the first time overtaken the number of women dying from breast cancer making it the third biggest cancer killer in the UK.
Some 11,819 men now die from prostate cancer every year – the equivalent of one man every 45 minutes – compared to 11,442 women who die from breast cancer
These facts speak for themselves as to why we are passionate and committed to supporting Prostate Cancer. Please help us not only raise lots of money for research development, patient and survivor support but to raise much needed awareness of Prostate Cancer. What are we doing? Over 300 miles in 3 Days!
The plan..Day 1 - Dumfries to Ardrossan (approx 96 miles)
Day 2 - Ardrossan via Arran to Claonaig to Oban (approx 96 miles)
Day 3 - Oban to Keyline Inverness (approx 108 miles)
(If you would like to join us for the whole cycle, a day of the cycle or even just part of one of the days - get in touch with us..... we would love to have you on board)
We have a group of over thirty cyclists that are hoping to complete the three day journey (the crazy ones). As well as others who are joining us for part of the challenge doing either a day or a section of one of the routes. Every mile cycled and supported by you will make a huge difference to the awareness and the funding we can raise in combating Prostate Cancer.
Thank you for supporting us and Prostate Cancer
