We are raising money for Hillside Specialist School and College witch educates students with autism and serves the whole of Lancashire. Hillside provides specialist teaching to children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism from the age of 3 to 19.

The school currently has a sensory room that students access on a daily basis. Our sensory room is an essential area for our students as it helps develop a range of skills, in a calming, learning and therapeutic environment.

Because of the benefits it has to our pupils, it is in desperate need of an upgrade. An updated room would develop pupil wellbeing, communication and social skills and enable our students to access equipment independently in a specialist learning environment. The technology we are looking to install will provide an essential part to our pupil’s development and sensory diets. A combination of lights and musical equipment, such as fibre-optics, bubble tubes and touch activated sound buttons, would provide visual and auditory sensory feedback. Soft play equipment and Sensory Integration swings would support pupils gross and fine motor development and give them proprioceptive and vestibular sensory feedback.

the school will benefit massivley from our help and would be greatly appreciated, if you could make a small donation every little helps it takes less than a few minuets.
