    Story

Several years a go i took out a credit card with Lloyds TSB, after only using the card a handful of times i stopped using it, but kept the card for emergency use only. I paid in full every month. Three months ago, my credit card fell out of my wallet and stolen. The thieves subsequently used the card and spent £5000 in a matter of months. I cancelled the card as soon as i realised it was stolen but Lloyds, due to technical error, didn't cancel the card. This resulted in the thieves using the card online for various expensive purchases. Lloyds eventually cancelled the card, but by that time it was too late. They had already maxed the card to its limit. Lloyds agreed to cancel £500 of debt but they slapped on fees and continue to charge me interest. Lloyds are being very unhelpful and are constantly breathing down my neck. At present, i can only afford to pay the minimum amount every month. I have rent to pay every month and travel expenses to get to work every month. This is putting a huge strain on my finances. I only work 30 hours a week and all my savings have gone towards clearing this debt.
