My name is Matthew and I'm from England I am trying to give myself a final opportunity to achieve my dream of being a footballer and study over in the US. I have been playing football all my life and unfortunately when I was 16 my whole life changed. I signed a contract for Doncaster Rovers and suddenly everything went wrong. I was diagnosed with a extremely rare heart condition which put me out of football for 9/10 months in total, ruining any chance of showing my skill. But it doesn't stop there, at an after prom party from my school my life was destroyed. I was falsely accused of by a girl who I know and this sealed my fate. My club was never going to give me a chance and I myself was not the same. I was taken to court and found completely innocent but I was threatened and my family threatened from our community. I faced depression and suicidal emotions, went through counselling and it has taken me until now nearly 3 years later to begin to move on. I only want another chance to have my opportunity in life without it being ripped away from me. Words cannot express the pain and hardship my family and I went through and now I have offered a second chance but financially it is extremely difficult. My family are very proud and they will struggle incredibly to help me achieve my dream and pay for me to go but the guilt is overbearing. I just want to help my parents and just loosen the strain that they feel to help me. Anything would help and if anyone has any doubts of the credibility of this story please contact me and I can prove it. I am simply 19 and trying to better myself through my talent to help my family and give back for the hardship they have had to face and myself.
