Story
Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK*. I learned this shocking statistic after my good friend Jonathan unexpectedly took his own life last year. In his memory Jonathan's family have set up a charitable foundation, Jonathan's Voice, to work with organisations to promote mental well being in the workplace. On 4 March 2018 I will be running the Bath half marathon, and I'm hoping to raise some money through sponsorship to support the work of Jonathan's Voice. Any donations would be most welcome.

6 years agoRace day is here! Unfortunately however the Beast from the East reached Bath first, forcing the organisers to cancel the race (http://bathhalf.co.uk/2018/02/cold-weather-alert/). But I promised to run a half marathon, so this morning I went out in the slush and ice and completed an unofficial Nailsea half in 1 hour 42 minutes 14 seconds. No medal or t-shirt, but a lot of satisfaction and gratitude at having raised so much money for a good cause. Thank you all for your generosity and support.
