Story

The artist Matthew Lyons is painting three large, group portraits of the staff and volunteers at Treetops Hospice in Risley near Nottingham.

Treetops Hospice is the leading end-of-life care charity for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

The charity provides nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions, those who’ve been bereaved, and their families. All the hospice services are available free of charge, from diagnosis onward. Treetops Hospice offers end-of-life nursing care in patients’ own homes, counselling for grieving children and adults, personalised well-being support, and confidential advice.

This year, Treetops is very proud to be celebrating 40 years of caring for people and their families in the local community.

Matthew says, "painting these portraits is a great way to thank the people at Treetops for the 40 years work they have done in the community and to recognise the people involved."

Matthew will donate the paintings to the charity to mark their anniversary and is raising funds so that the paintings can be professionally framed.

Can you support Matthew so he can frame the paintings?
