Appleby Frodingham Cricket Club has been at the heart of our local sporting community for more than 100 years. We are proud of our heritage, but even more proud of our commitment to growing the game and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to play, support and belong.

Giving back has always been part of who we are. Each year, the club selects a charity close to our hearts, and over the past two years we have raised and donated more than £12,000 to Parkinson’s UK and The Brain Tumour Charity — support that has made a real difference to families in need.

This year, we are honoured to be fundraising for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

Lindsey Lodge provides compassionate, specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families across North Lincolnshire. Their work extends far beyond medical support — offering dignity, comfort, emotional care and guidance at one of the most difficult times any family can face. For many in our community, Lindsey Lodge is not just a hospice; it is a place that has cared for a loved one, a friend, a teammate or a family member. Its impact is deeply personal and widely felt.

To support this vital local service, we are aiming to repeat last year’s success by completing a 26-mile sponsored walk. On Sunday 29th March, our volunteers will set off from Alkborough Cricket Club, circumnavigating the town and calling in at Normanby Park, Broughton, Messingham, and Scunthorpe Town Cricket Clubs, before finishing at our home ground, Brumby Hall.
