I've raised £12000 to Parkinson's UK and the cricket facility development fund.

Appleby Frodingham CC is a community club which has been at the heart of the local sporting community for over 100 years. The club is committed to continuing to grow the game, building out a structure which provides everyone with the opportunity to access the game we love. We will be raising funds for Parkinson's UK and the cricket facility development fund.
Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure (yet). Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure and we would like to thank you in advance for supporting our fundraising efforts.
In 2024 we will launch the 'This Girl Can Play' project, delivering (free) weekly sessions to introduce Women and Girls to the sport with the goal of establishing a new Women's and Girls' cricket section. Additionally, we are continuing to grow our junior pathway, with 100+ boys and girls starting their cricketing journey through our All Stars, Dynamos, or junior age group teams.
Increased playing numbers has placed greater demand on the facility. The initial focus is on improving the existing training / nets area plus creating a purpose-built female changing area.
In order to kick start the fundraising efforts our members have decided to embark on a sponsored walk from Beverley Cricket Club to Brumby Hall (~26 miles) on Sunday 7th April.
