Story
In Memory Of Matthew Mutch.
Matthew’s world flipped upside down when he got diagnosed with an osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in his right leg, the day after his 20th birthday in January of 2017. Later on that year, in April, he underwent an above knee amputation as they couldn’t get the clearance to save his right leg.
Since then Matthew has shown his resilience, his determination and his fight for his life whilst being an amputee.
He had 18 months cancer free when him and his girlfriend, Chloë, went on 7 different holidays and lived life to the fullest.
Matthew unfortunately relapsed in 2019, 2020, 2021 and we lost him on 11th June 2022 after a gruelling 5 year battle.
Matthew’s 25 years were filled with so much love, strength and passion for football. Before his diagnosis he was a player and a qualified referee and after his diagnosis he turned to coaching U18’s. There are few bigger football fans on this earth.
