Story

I will be taking part in Deloitte Ride Across Britain which is a 969 mile cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats – the length of the UK from the most south-westerly point to most north-eastern point. The event takes place over nine days from 9–17 September 2017, and if cycling an average of 110 miles for 9 days straight wasn't bad enough, I'll be camping each night on a 5mm roll matt.

The ride across Britain offers me the chance not only to get super fit, but more importantly to help raise funds for a fantastic local organisation which has been providing first class adventure training and personal development for local young people over many years.

To help provide the Cadets with even more opportunities 1116 (Woodley) Sqn are trying to raise enough funds to buy a secondhand mini-bus. With that in-mind I'm aiming to raise £1116 towards the cost of a mini-bus – you see what I did there! Hopefully we can raise a lot more but £1116 would be a great start.

Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated – and will go directly towards this great local youth organisation. Please also remember to add Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer.

Thank you for supporting!
Matt
