Story

Thank you in advance for reading my story

Music is an essential part of learning and i’ve recently experianced through my own children how much so it can impact their everyday life, experiances and welbeing.

The benefits of music are huge, as parents we want to provide our children with the best opportunities to grow and learn, by enroling them in musical lessons, it not only teaches them the basics of learning an Instument, it provide several other benefits too:

Thinking and creativity

Learning to play an instument, encourages children to make decisions and problem solve. This can help them in other areas of school and in social situations.

Learn dicipline

To play an instument it takes time, practice and dedication to improve.

Build self confidence

Music is a great way for children to express themselves & build a sense of self acomplishment.

Collaboration

When children learn to play an instument in a group setting, they learn how to work with others to create something wonderful.

Fun

Finally Music can be a lot of fun, whether that be my making new friends, exploring a new interest or performing infront of an audience.

Why donate?

If the above wasn’t enough…

St Nicholas Primary School has a warm and vibrant atmosphere and aims to provide our children with the best platform to learn.

Several weeks ago, I and my partner with children visited an open day at the Hull Albemarle Music Center where we met some of the local music teachers who support not only St Nicholas but several schools in Hull. Through several conversations it became apparent that I and others could be doing much more to improve the childrens musical education by providing much needed instruments, equiptment and budget support for lessons.

If you agree and would like to donate, please do, every penny counts. Understandably, times are hard, if you cannot afford to donate, please share across your families and social media platforms

Thank you!
