I've raised £200 to raise funds for the Together Forever Trust and Durham Hospitals Radio. Matthew and Martha are doing the Great North Run Mini #littlelegs

Hello everyone,
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We are Matthew (6) and Martha (5) we are really excited to be running together to raise funds for two causes close to our hearts.
We are competing in this years Mini Great North Run on September 9th at Newcastle/Gateshead for...
Set up by the families of Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry who tragically lost their lives during the terror attack at Manchester Arena on 22nd May of this year. Chloe is Matthew's cousin, and she lived in the same street. He misses her so much. Chloe had a passion for performance and Liam's love of sport knew no bounds. The trust aims to help those who have the potential to go far in the world of performance or sport but do not have the funds to further their talents.
Chloe loved singing and performing. And we want to give people who are interested in music and performance a chance. While cricket was Liams' love - he loved his sport - I know how expensive the performance side can be, with the cost of exams and various qualifications, and sometimes it can be those that can prevent someone from making a career out of something they are good at and are passionate about, and that's where the Trust will step in, to help in someway so that the person can achieve their dreams. - Lisa Rutherford (Chloes' Mam)
Chloe and Liam will be always in our hearts. Two beautiful young people, totally in love, taken far too soon. Their love will live on and will be shared by those who benefit from the Together Forever Trust.
The station has to raise all of it's funds and we both asked if we could help by running this years Mini Great North Run. DHR keeps the patients, their families and friends entertained 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is manned totally by a small team of 15 volunteers. They cover all of Durham Womens' Football Clubs home matches (which can also be heard on the internet DHR On-Line ) and the home games of Sunderland AFC and Newcastle United FC (in the hospital only - once the new internal system is in place throughout the University Hospitals of North Durham site.) We would like to buy some new music for Durham Hospitals Radio to play to their lovely listeners and help make their days (and nights) brighter. DHR also need up upgrade their studios to keep the gremlins at bay (don't feed them after midnight!) Durham Hospitals Radio broadcast worldwide via www.dhradio.org.uk to patients, their families and friends at home and to Durhamites wherever they may be!
DHR was nominated for 5 awards at the HBA National Radio Awards this year....and won a Silver Award for Special Event broadcasting. We thought they did amazing! Please help them to play more music to make everyones' days happier. We appear a lot on the station with our Kiddies Corner feature and we have even interviewed Chris and Pui from CBeebies and hope to do more.
Chloe and her friend Amy Ridley recorded an interview and songs for DHR, the songs are played frequently, so beautiful.
We are hoping for sunshine, and a lovely pasta party after our 1.5K run. In fact we have told our Mammies that we are going to run so fast that it will be hard for them to keep up :) They are already panicking about how to fit in training (they have less than 2 weeks)!!!
